SquarePeg uses credits for scoring, rediscovery, and sourcing. The Account Usage page shows your balance, your plan, and every credit used or added.

Key information

  1. Credits are used when SquarePeg scores, rediscovers, or sources a candidate. Rescoring a candidate who has already been scored, rediscovered, or sourced doesn't use more credits.
  2. New accounts start with 2,000 trial credits, which expire after two months.
  3. Purchased credits expire two months after they're added to your account. Referral bonus credits never expire and are used after your other credits. See Referral program.
  4. Volume discounts are available. They're easier to reach when you buy credits annually.
  5. You're alerted when you've used 80% of your available credits.
  6. If your balance reaches zero, your account becomes view-only until credits are added.
  7. To estimate how many credits you need, see SquarePeg pricing.

How credits are used

Action Credits
Score an applicant 1
Rediscover a past ATS candidate 1
Source a new candidate 1
Reveal a sourced candidate's email 2

Tip: Eligibility rules can reduce credit usage, because ineligible applicants aren't scored.

View your credit balance and history

  1. Click Account Usage in the main navigation. Your current balance is also shown under the icon.
  2. Review your Credit balance, your Recurring plan, and your Credit history.

Credit history lists each credit load and usage with its date, description, credits, remaining balance, and expiration date. Scheduled credit loads appear greyed out until they're added; credits that expired unused are marked.

Add credits

  1. Open the Account Usage page.
  2. Click Add credits (or Set up recurring credits if you don't have a plan).
  3. Choose an amount and how often to buy: one-time, monthly, or annually. Larger amounts and annual purchases get volume discounts.
