Slack Connect gives your team a shared Slack channel with SquarePeg. This article explains how to set it up, and how to get answers from the SquarePeg Slack app inside that channel.

Why use Slack Connect

A Slack Connect channel is a single channel shared between your company's Slack workspace and SquarePeg's. Your team stays in your own Slack, and SquarePeg joins you there.

• One shared history. Everyone on your hiring team can see past questions, answers and announcements in one place.

Set up your Slack Connect channel

1. Email [email protected] or ask your SquarePeg contact for a Slack Connect channel.
2. SquarePeg will create a channel for your company and send a Slack Connect invitation to the email address you provide.
3. Open the invitation and click Accept.
4. Choose the Slack workspace you want to connect the channel to.
5. Click Connect.

Note: Depending on your company's Slack settings, a Slack admin at your company may need to approve the connection before the channel appears.

Add teammates to the channel

Once the channel is connected, anyone in it can add teammates from your workspace:

1. Open the channel in Slack.
2. Click the channel name at the top.
3. Open the Members tab and click Add people.
4. Search for your teammates and click Add.
