Candidates can be rejected or moved to a different stage in your ATS, directly from SquarePeg.

Key information

1. Rejections and stage changes in SquarePeg are processed by your ATS immediately.
2. Candidates can be rejected or moved to a different stage, individually or in bulk.
3. When rejecting (individually or in bulk), a rejection email can be sent to candidates by selecting a template. Note: Rejection messages are available to Greenhouse users only.
4. When changing a candidates stage, no communication is sent to candidates.
5. You can toggle through candidates using the left and right arrows in the actions bar at the bottom of a candidate’s profile, or the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard.

Changing a candidate’s stage

To change an individual candidate’s stage:

1. Open the profile of the candidate you want to move.
2. Click the green stage button in the action bar at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select the stage you want to move the candidate to.

The candidate will immediately be moved to the selected stage in your ATS.

Note: When changing a candidates stage, no communication is sent to candidates.

Reject a candidate

To reject an individual candidate:

1. Open the profile of the candidate you want to reject.
2. Click the red reject button in the action bar at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select a rejection reason.
4. Leave a reject note (optional).
